Ok so this poem has been inspired from Cory Monteith's death. Cory played Finn Hudson on the Fox television series "Glee" and on 13 July 2013 he was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver,Canada. It was stated that the reason for his death was "Mixed drug toxicity". No offense to Hollywood they sure do make some good movies too but the fact remains the fact that the industry literally kills many of their people. Amy Winehouse, Michael Hutchence,Kurt Cobain,Tupac Shakur ..& the list goes on.
They show you a perfect
life,
And then they make you
want it,
But if you’d take a step
inside,
You’ll be forever by it
haunted.
Let’s lift the curtains
today,
Let’s take a glimpse
inside,
Let’s see if they really
are what they say,
Or how much of the truth
do they hide.
Behind that pretty face,
Is a tongue that
constantly lies,
A heart that’s so
jealous that it’s a disgrace,
And a mind that always
in revenge cries.
Backstabbing and
plotting all the time,
Always keeping your
guard up,
Fake smiles and
compliments are just fine,
Always battling to be on
the top.
Scripted jobs they have,
Scripted lives they
live,
Rehearsed lines they
talk,
Even for once their
honest opinion they can’t give.
It’s really tragic that
all you have is only cash,
That you can’t
experience love and kindness for real,
In banks you keep all
that cash stacked,
And jump into booze and
pills so as not to feel.
Funny isn’t it how one
of their own Bob Marley has said?
“Money cannot buy life”,
But so many still on
that hellish path tread,
For a couple of green
notes so hard they strive.
You give up your health
, you give up your self,
All just to earn truck
loads of wealth,
And then one day your
found dead in some God forsaken place,
So heartbreaking that
you couldn’t even for the last time see your loved ones faces.
You worked so hard to
make a future,
You wanted more because
enough was never enough,
Now see how your being
tortured,
Isn’t it weird how about
death you’d joke and laugh?
Now your lying in a
little box, dressed well but cold and dead,
All that money that you
loved more than yourself,
It’s all coming to good
use in the end,
Spent in giving you a
grand funeral and a final farewell.
